Piano Pals is a piano-centered, traveling music class for 4- and 5-year-olds, available to your child's preschool! Its fun and unique curriculum uses songs, games, and movement activities to teach musical concepts, and then helps children explore and express what they've learned on small piano keyboards.

Each Piano Pals session begins with time on the rug, learning about musical concepts such as rhythm, pitch, and melody through whole-body activities that keep children engaged from head to toe.

Students then move to the keyboards and explore how those same concepts come to life on the "piano"!

In Piano Pals, we focus on five concept areas:  Piano Skills, Fine Motor Skills, Singing & Ear Training, Rhythm, and Pre-Note-Reading Skills. Along the way, we usually discover some new vocabulary words, math concepts, and even a little science!

Piano Pals is not the same as piano lessons, but is a readiness program that will give your child the foundations of musical knowledge and vocabulary to prepare them for whatever instrument they choose to pursue in the future.

Don't have a piano or keyboard at home?

That's ok! - Piano Pals is all about exploration and discovery, so daily practice is not required. Of course if you do, that's great - your child will be excited to show you what we've been learning!

In class, we use 49-key roll-up keyboards like this one:
